For a movie about a "Code Red", which is basically the military’s terrifying way of saying "discipline your teammates through violence", A Few Good Men is a film way funnier than it has any right to be. It’s a courtroom drama that moves with a sharp, rhythmic energy, and honestly, that snappy wit is what keeps it from feeling like a dry legal lecture. The Oscars are in March, but really, February is Oscars month. Every corner of the Internet is full of year-end film lists, awards predictions, pronouncements on which movies deserve them and which don't, and bets on the big winners of the year (and I do mean l iteral bets ). Is the hype for "Sinners" justified, and if so, will it translate into actual wins? If not "Sinners", maybe "One Battle After Another"? If not that, then maybe Franken-Netflix (but probably not)?
